Senior Dog Veterinary Society's Mission:

Our mission is to support the senior dog-loving vets and vet techs out there who care as deeply about this work as we do. Since starting Senior Dog Vets, we’ve had the chance to brainstorm and collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the industry on what the future of senior and geriatric medicine can look like for us as practitioners.

Our goal is not only to help lead the future of senior dog-focused medicine, but to bring all of you with us. The vets and vet techs who want to help create a new standard of care for this special group of patients.

Dr. Monica Tarantino is a Veterinarian with ten years of experience and worked as Chief of Staff for a busy general practice in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Tarantino is co-founder of the Senior Dog Veterinary Society , focused specifically on enhancing the care of senior and geriatric canine patients.

Dr. Tarantino runs a social media platform (@seniordogdoc) and create the Senior Dog Revolution that focuses on changing the perception of Senior Dogs and helping pet parents of aging dogs navigate common challenges. She also co-authored two books for new veterinarians, New Vet Jumpstart Guide: GP Edition and New Vet Jumpstart: ER Edition.

She frequently rescues in-need pets and owns four rescue dogs and two rescue cats with the occasional foster animal for good measure.

Dr. Lauren Adelman

Dr. Lauren Adelman is a board certified Internal Medicine Specialist practicing at Canada West Veterinary Specialists in Vancouver, British Columbia where she offers state of the art minimally invasive procedures to her feline and canine patients.

Dr. Adelman enjoys educating pet owners and other veterinarians on her social media channel (@the_tinyvet) and through regular TV appearances. She co-founded the Senior Dog Veterinary Society, to develop advanced education focused the unique needs of senior dog patients.

Outside of work, Dr. Adelman enjoys spending time at the beach with her husband, daughter and two dogs, Joey and Freddie.

Lauren Adelman

Dr. Lisa Lippman is one of the most followed and socially influential veterinarians in the United States. She is nationally respected by media outlets such as Good Morning America, Dr. Oz, and Live with Kelly and Ryan as a go-to source for expertise in pet health and safety.

When not treating some of the most influential pets in the world at Bond Vet as Director of Virtual Medicine she sits on the board of Animal Lighthouse Rescue, whose mission is to help the homeless dogs of Puerto Rico .

She co-founded the Pet Loss Community and the Senior Dog Veterinary Society, focused specifically on enhancing the care of senior canine patients and still finds time to devote to her own dog, the silly rescue Cavalier, Herbie.
